Wrap up the frame
Hi There
When wrapping up a new frame with a foil insulation blanket are staples sufficient to keep it attached if the cladding still wont be on for a while (not a particulary high wind location)?
Just wondering if the foil tends to rip easily? Is there a better method?

It can come adrift if it gets windy before you clad it.
I used to nail a few strips of timber or masonite packing here and there to hold it until I fitted the cladding

Get yourself some foil fasteners. I think that staples would pull through the foil too easily, especially if it gets windy. The foil fasteners are small square plates about 20mm square with four prongs which you belt in with a hammer. Sort of like mini gang nails. They come in strips and you snap them off as you need them.

Sounds good ... similar to the shade cloth fasterners I guess.

I think you'll find they are one and the same.

Or.....
Get some of that plastic stapping and staple that on, it wont come adrift.
