Default House renovation - new external sink to sewer

Hello all. I'm renovating my house and I'm having a new external mains water tap fitted to one of the house walls. I want the tap to sit over a sink, which will be connected to the sewer line. The sink allows waste water from the garden, washing, etc to be easily disposed of.

Can anyone give a website link to where I might find a range of such external sinks? I've seen earthenware sinks on old houses and am wondering if they are still made or whether there are newer alternatives...

    Thanks...

That is a great idea! How about letting your imagination run wild. Maybe a large shallow terra cotta bowl instead of a sink? Or cut down an eathernware pot so it is not too high? Maybe get an old copper hot water tank unit from a recycler and fashion it into a trough set into a timber bench top? Maybe an old copper (cloths washer type copper) if you can find one, set into a bench? They can all have suitable holes cut into them for the drain - you could make a beaut feature with this idea, so I reckon think outside the box for a bit and see how creative you can be.

    Good luck with it all.

Don't drain it into the sewer - run the pipe into the garden somewhere and connect it to a soaker hose.

By the book you will have to put a roof over the sink as no rainwater can discharge to the boards sewer.
