Kitchen planning software
Just wondering, does anyone out there know of any software that:
1. Plans kitchens, (diagrams, etc)
2. Works out measurements and cutting list
3. Calculates number of board required.
I've seen a few software around but not willing to spend 5K!
Thanks for any help
JosephWhy do people point to their wrist when asking for the time, but don't point to their crotch when they ask where the bathroom is?

KitchenDraw is good if you have set up a cabinet library. You have to learn MobiScript to design your custom cabinets before using them in KitchenDraw.
The KitchenDraw default cabinets will probably bear no resemblance to what you actually require.
CabinetVision will do what you want but it does cost over 5K.

thanks renomart but for 5k you would expect it to not only plan your kitchen but also make you a cup of coffee and clean the house.

I hear you! But seriously, even if you are doing just one kitchen a week (I am assuming you are a kitchen manufacturer BTW) it will only cost you $100 per kitchen and after 1 year it would be paid off.
So what does $100 save you? TIME & MONEY!!! You can be doing other things than worry about producing shop drawings, cutting lists, door orders etc manually.
When I used CabinetVision I sold kitchens quite easily as the client could see their new kitchen in 3D. CV also worked out my material costs and profit / gross margins and even printed out my quotation. After I did a check measure I pressed one button and everything was generated for me.
It really is a no brainer! Go and buy something similiar and write it off on your tax.
