Links won't link

Previously,when I added a link to a post by dragging and dropping from my bookmarks folder or bookmarks toolbar,the link appeared highlighted in blue.Clicking on the blue text then connected to the new site.
Now,for some reason,the bookmarked site can be dragged and dropped,but the URL appears on the reply in black text and won't link.
Does anyone understand this stuff?:confused:

I'm using Mozilla as a browser if that makes any difference.

Do the links have "www" in front of them when you drop them in your post?

gifkins.com.au won't work but www.gifkins.com.au will.

!!!! It works now...aaaargh!
I'm guessing that the problem was either with the site that I was trying to link from (ABC site)or the forum that I was trying to post the link to (not Woodworkforums).It doesn't look like it's at my end at all.
