Ahhh. . . nothing gets you dripping sweat like Beaufort (or Charleston for that matter) in the summer. Luckily up here in Greenville, nearer the mountains, it's not quite so bad. But 100 degrees is HOT, no matter what the humidity.

Peter Costello, in a word! Our erstwhile economic rationalist is slowly but quietly rationalising the seasons for us, This year no Spring (or at least a blurry one), and not a lot of proper Winter. Next year, have a look at Autumn and see what he does to that! By 2008 we will have no seasons at all, just weather. And then in the elections following 2008, Pete will promise to give them back to us if we vote for him. He thinks we are all mugs and don't notice these things until it's too late (like bracket creep).

With humidity hitting almost 0%, it would have been a great day to calibrate your Andy Mac humidity gauge

It's just gone past the 40 degree mark with the humidity down to 15%. Shed's hot too. Yesterday nearly got to 41 with humidity down to 12%.

    Roll on winter.
