I cannot fathom all the 'Ford' versus 'Holden' B/S as they're all powered by Chevy engines and specialised transmissions, suspension, brakes, etc, etc.

The only part that is somewhat akin to the road cars is the profile!

    Nice stuff all the same.

BTW, since F1's change to 2.4l V8s, there must be a pile of tasty 3.0l V10 lurking around. Remember when they were first introduced shortly after the Turbo era? Both Renault and Ford made a couple of mid engine, V10 powered vans  Hoots, could those buggers move. Well, I suppose 920 ~ 970BHP at 19,000rpm would have that effect

On second thoughts, there are quite enough Wan**** in White Vans as it is

Yep not really holdens or fords... mostly custom and aftermarket parts.
And no they are not powered by Chevys, the holden have specialy made 5ltr and ford have a 5ltr winsor.
Be interesting if they did use production motors, Ford would be disavantaged tho the 5.4 is small cap and very heavy, the holden 6.0ltr bigger cap and lighter.

There seemed to have been some serious "near death" experiences up there on the weekend.

Good to see Craig win. He is one of the few who can fit in the car without bumping thier ego

Trash this class & Group A the lot of em, then I'll regain an active interest in more than 1 or 2 rounds a year.
Not dissing the Man, but little mention of one P. Brocks dalliances into BMWs & Ford Sierras that I've heard lately, he drove them hard as well .

I agree, great race although to much 'brain drain' and personal egos getting in the way.
The best motor racing was the 2 litre racing here and also from England & Europe

I know not with what weapons World War III will be fought, but World War IV will be fought with sticks and stones.

Why don't the cretins ever consider BMW or other European properly made vehicles:confused:

A sad end to a good day at the races
In the end Mark Porter lost his battle.
