Bleeding Thumb,
I didn't know you were the Forum's third geologist. The point about hemorrhoids and a/c is that you are much more likely to contract them if you are sitting on the (almost) red hot plastic bench seat of a Toyota bumping around in rough country, than you are if you are in a cool vehicle with comfortable seats; I was doing mineral exploration in the Lawn Hill area (we managed to miss finding the Century deposit:mad: ) when I contracted them. I was operated on in the surgery of a doctor in Mt Isa, whose main expertise was in patching up Serbian miners who had been attacked by Croats It wasn't until I got back to England that I had them properly fixed.

Hi Rocker, no I was head fieldy for Agip and AFMECO from 79-83. Worked around the Gulf country and up into the Cape. It wasn't too respectable looking for uranium for the French government back then!
We did a bit of driving alright, used to drive to Cairns airport to pickup and drop off the Geologists if they couldn't charter a plane out!

I'm typing this standing up. They kicked me out half an hour ago, exploratory surgery found a clamped off vein from the original reconstruction had let go, lasered the little bugger this time and finished up with a bit of a sewing job, I should be back to hitting middle C in about a fortnights time.
Thanks for your support folks.

Termite,
Good to hear that it was not too serious, and that you have now invested in the stainless steel model

Good to hear it ended up not being a big deal Termite, just a big PIA for a few days. At least it kept a few forumites amused for a while, although I'm not to sure I would have found your problem anything but a huge worry.
