Thanks mates for helping me make light of something that , having been through it once, is quite frankly terrifying the crap out of me.

    Termite,

In the days before a/c was common in vehicles, hemorrhoids were an occupational disease of geologists; in those days, the treatment of choice was to strangle them with rubber bands. It was as painful as hell and didn't work; so I know what you have already suffered. I would hate to go through it a second time. Good luck.

That's just too horrible to contemplate. Thanks for the mental picture, Rocker!

Termite, this is obviously worrying you. You should call your doctor immediately. If he's busy, get him to give you a ring back.

    Hi Rocker,
Having spent quite a few years doing mineral exploration in FNQ I can fully understand the connection between geology and hemorrhoids:eek: But why would a/c help ?

Speaking of rings this morning I finaly got the courage up to go to the doctor to get the prostate checked out. After the doctor pulled on the rubber glove all my courage soon vanished when he started to mumble... submit Dorothy submit:eek:

    Good Luck Termite!
