Default Lets do the time warp again

for 5 minutes.... nothing, all woodworkforums screens (windows) frozen & then, snap, as if nothing had happened.
    Other web pages still worked.

I think its those lycra wearing nancy boys on the other forum that clog the server, maybe they all get out of the shower at the same time?

    Hi

At 12am a lot of scheduled tasks on the forum are run, some include:

    Subscriptions - 12:00AM
    Daily Statistics Log - 12:00AM
    Birthdays - 12:01AM
    Daily Digest - 12:02AM
    Activation Reminder Email - 12:03AM
    Daily Cleanup - 12:10AM
    Weekly Digest - 12:30AM

If one task takes longer than usual it can be still running when another tries to run and if both are complex the server load will go up for awhile. There are 8 or 9 other tasks that run throughout the hour (every hour).

We may need to take another look at when the above tasks are run if it continues to disrupt things.

    regards
    Steve

I have noticed pauses just after midnight, the one last night was just after 12:30pm.

Do you really have to run that bit ?
