rebate on french doors
Hi all. Could somebody please tell what the standard rebate is on french doors. I have 2 40mm thicj external timber and glass doors that I plan to make into french doors and I was thinking that it is 50/50 on each door and about 12mm deep. Thanks.

Sounds about right from memory, the 50/50 for sure & the 12mm you can double check by measuring the step in the rebated mortice lock you will use.

Yeah thanks. I picked up the rebate kit for the lock today and it's 12mm. The 50/50 seems to make sense. Maybe a bit more on each and some sort of weathering strip inbetween but I don't thinkk i'll get too tricky.
