I got sauced up on Ouzo in Vietnam, now even the taste of an aniseed lifesaver makes me puke, same goes for rum, bloody awful tongue tearing acid, however, love a good single malt or a properly brewed beer (not the local made tasteless bitter fizz).
My hands shake at times and people assume this is alcohol, never consider the head injury bestowed upon me some years ago in a car accident.
I do get a little p!ssed off about that.Stupidity kills. Absolute stupidity kills absolutely.

Rocker,
as I tell my 7 year old maths is everywhere ...
there's 385ml in a stubbie, so 10ml of alcohol would represent 10/385 = ~2.5% (i.e. a low strength beer)
for full strength beer at 5% alcohol = 385 x 0.05 = ~20ml = ~2 standard drinks
so 3 full strength stubbies would equal a bit less than 6 standard drinks
I'll let you do the maths on your daily tipple ...

Ian,
My daily tipple is two large sherries, 200 mL of 18% alcohol = 36 mL of alcohol; i.e. just a bit below the daily max for low risk of 40 mL of alcohol.

if a bloke drinks mid strength........does that mean i can have twice as many cans
if you always do as you have always done, you will always get what you have always got

The wowsers are just more vocal because they're miserable about not drinking.
4 beers a day is about my lot, starting usually about 3pm-ish to wash the sawdust down, then a couple more before dinner and usually one with. If that makes me an alcoholic, I'll have to up the dose - I hate doing things by halves.Cheers,
Craig
