Got up at 1/4 to 8 (slept in a bit), had breakfast, pulled down the tent and packed all the gear, then walked for 3 hours to where we left the car the day before. Drove home, had lunch, had a spa, then watched a silly kid's movie (Madagascar).

When the kids came back from their Aunty's, I got a box of plastic dominoes with a brown hanky wrapped around it (haven't had one of them since I was a kid) from my son (he picked it). Daughter gave me the DVD of Pulse (Pink Floyd concert). Went to Mums for tea. Watched part 2 of Touch of Frost. Went to bed.

My youngest daughter gave me a BBQ set and thanked me for a life time of unconditional support, love and friendship and for being the best dad a girl could hope for . My eldest daughter boycotted the day altogether and kept the grand children away.

    Mixed bag I guess.

Bit late but, got taken out for lunch and had to pay:confused: box of nose robes from daughters, they seem to mysteriously vanish over the course of the year, sleazed in with some camphor laurel that SWMBO doesn't know about and a couple of videos from SWMBO, Hancocks half hour, she thinks I like them but haven't had the heart to tell her I don't.

Actually it reminds me of the Tom Jones CD I bought for my wife a few years ago. We had a garage sale before we left Sydney and there was Tom in the $2 pile. I thought there must've been some mistake but no, she hates him and could never understand why I bought it for her

    Default Fathers day.

With baby bluegum due in January I'm going to have a fair bit of time to put my order in. Plenty of time for plenty of hints

Had an 'Uncle's day' today... while their Mum & Dad had a night out & a day at the races, we cleaned up the banana patch, hooned around on the tractor & then went to the shed to do some turning.
    I'll post some pictures tomorrow.

The good thing about nieces & nephews is that they go home, eventually.

    Default Nephews doing some turning.

    The bowl is Sarsaparilla.
The Mallet is a Silky Oak handle & a Blue Gum head.

The Bowl is still very wet so is rough turned.
We will finish it next month.
