    Question wood fire ovens

I am looking to set up an outdoor cooking area. Does anyone have plans to build an outdoor wood fire oven and a spit

    Regards

Do a search for Pizza ovens. We have a basic igloo design, cooks a lamb roast in 50 mins.

If you do a google search you will find some great pics of ovens and BBq set ups. And the Better homes and garden web page has a great plan of one the did on the show. good luck.

No it was there when I bought the house. It's a bit rough but am planning to fix it up and mosaic the outside. Burnt a few pizzas working out how to use it. Only takes 8 mins but you have to start the fire about 4 hours before you use it.

Try this link as well. Robert Slingsby makes top quality ovens. DON'T buy cheap asian imports as the clay is too thin and they crack.
Good luck. post some picks when your done.

For fathers day I bought my Dad a book by Russell Jeavons called your brick oven - he is from S.A and has his own eatery there.

It goes through the steps of building and firing the oven, then gives a lot of recipes to use in your newly created oven.
    Cheerio.
