Cane Furniture
Help! SWMBO wants me to restore some cane furniture that has been semi exposed on our covered patio. Any advice would be appreciated.
Regards
Termite.

Termite,
While I haven't done any cane renovation yet, I've got a couple of pieces that need to be done up, plus a couple that someone else has already 'restored' using estapol. I'm a fan of shellac though because it's easy to apply (after the preparation, preparation and preparation) and if it gets scratched, affected by the elements or misuse, it's REALLY easy to revitalise. Having said that, I'll be watching this thread to hear about other people's experiences. There's also a very good cane furniture restoration place in Brisbane ... 'And Woven Cane' ... who, I'm sure, would be quite happy to give advice.
Good luck with it.
