Remove paint before tiling??
Hi all,
We are about to celebrate our 50th birthday at my school. One of the projects has involved every child and staff member decorating a tile representing their feelings about our school. They have been fired andwill be put on an 8 * 2 metre section of wall. The wall (I believe is fibre cement and is currently painted with the paint in very good condition.
Would we have to remove the paint to get the best possible adhesion. Because this wall is in an internal covered courtyard we are hoping it will last another 50 years!
Any and all suggestions will be greatfully appreciated
Cheers
David

Definitely. Remove the paint first. If the paint lets go, then there's nothing holding your tiles up.
