New Shed (Flooring?)
Hi, I'm building my shed at the moment on 5.5 Acres in Heathcote, Vic.
Just after some advice please. I don't think you can never have too much.
It's a 6.6 x 15 x 2.7 Metre Colorbond, steel frame shed.
I'm concreting the footings tommorrow.
Whats the best mix?
Also some suggestions on the floor would be great. I was going to get a slab done, but now I've been reading about timber floors. What would be the best way to build a timber floor?
Getting back to the slab, will i need to spread crushed rock first?
Soil is class M, but ground is level and undisturbed. I need to know to allow extra height before concreting footings. (Leaving it a bit late).
Also, should I put some damp proof along the bottom of the c/bond wall panel before concreting, (I heard having the slab hard up against it is not good for it), or shoul I put slab down before sheeting?
Also any other advice on the slab would be greatly appriciated.
Thanks

Get in touch with the company you bought the shed from and get their recommendations first. I assume you have a building permit for this thing so you might like to get in touch with whoever issued the permit and find out the minimum specs. I would prefer to put the slab down first but many get the shed up and pour later, both have there advantages. To be honest you have left this a bit late you should have thought this through long before you were ready to put the footings in.

The original plan was to have a concrete floor.
The footings are done by specs to take either.
More after some info on timber floors.
Thanks
