Finishing Myrtle Clock
Hey guys, i'll be constructing a wall-mounted clock out of Myrtle (Tasmanian i assume) in the weeks to come. I know a lot of you here have worked with Myrtle and was wondering what finish you prefer. I'm looking to bring out the grain and deepen the colour. Should i be looking at an oil or a shellac/wax polish?
I will experiment but i'd appreciate some guidance as to what works best with this timber. Perhaps even some pictures if it isnt asking too much.
Thanks in advance.
