Ceiling Height
My upstairs extension on a californian bungalow will have 2.4 metre ceilings which i think is 8 ft. Is this high enough? Down stairs will retain he 10ft ceilings.
What height has everyone else put in for an 2nd level extension. Im thinking 2.4 mtres might be too low but i have no idea.
Upstairs will be a landing area (4 x 4 mtres), bathroom and 2 bedrooms...will be used for kids when they come....

Normaly if you would go from 3m downstairs to 2.7 upstairs.
If 2.7 downstairs either 2.550 or 2.4 upstairs.
But having said that 2.4 is a normal ceiling height.
Not that you can change the height now if it has been built.
I guess the reason for a 300mm differenceis that it is not such a dramatic change from downstairs to upstairs. However you would get used to it and would not notice after a while.
