    Post TAS Hardwoods

I was in Tasmania recently and was completely blown away with the TAS hardwood craft work. The skills shown by most was fantastic. I managed to squeeze a couple of offcuts from Strahan.....Sassafras and Huon Pine, into my case. I have now cut these to size and sanded to 800 grit. What do I do now to finish and maintain the colour and grain? These pieces will be just looked at and felt rather than put to use. All help appreciated.

    G'day.

Shellawax cream from ubeaut. I love it. http://www.ubeaut.com.au/cream.html
I also like the finish from the Traditional wax,
it gives a marvelous feel & look BUT...
it smells funny, like grandma's bathroom cupboard.
Like flowers out of a bottle... http://www.ubeaut.com.au/trad.html

I bought Ubeaut's book on polishing and my first pot of shellawax. I have obviously done something wrong. I applied the wax (I thought as directed) until the cloth grabbed and stopped and let it dry. After polishing I was left with streaks of wax which I couldn't get rid of no matter how hard I rubbed. What have I done wrong?
