JAck the Rippa, although I doubt he managed to dessicate them. Hair dryers weren't invented yet.

Nope, just an incompetent soldier doing what all soldiers did, in his generation. Interestingly, he himself may have thouight so, as he spent the rest of his life working for RSL type welfare organisations.

I'd guess This is a contentious question. Top range 8 million, low range 3 million, probably around 4 and a bit. Lots of politics involved and the victors write the histories.

the luddite was the Unabomber - he used to send letter bombs to scientists and academics... weirdo - ended up being turned in by his own brother when he read some of the stuff mr unabomber had demanded be published in newspapers.Zed

Questions weren't specific enough, you should have put a date range. Gengis topped a few thousand in one sitting, Bryant (long may he rot in jail) wasn't in the same league.
The Unabomber, yes, but he didn't get his name in the dictionary describing his outlook.

It's hard to define the difference between a terrorist and a murderer isn't it. It is also difficult as to whether to eliminate a politician because they are not directly involved in the blood letting.
I suspect there are a lot of killers in African countries not identified either.

The Luddites would have been very resentful of their movement's name being hi-jacked by a murdering criminal terrorist.
They were a social/political movement of workers in 19th century England who feared that the machines of the Industrial Revolution would take away their livelihoods. They smashed weaving looms and other machines in protest. Quite a few of them were transported to Oz.
