The diff between men and wimin
I recently got berated by Jane....
U see, one of my daddy day care duties is "do the washing while I'm at work..." Jane sorts before offing to work, dictates how much / which soap etc and I turn it on in the morning and hang all the clothes etc... no brainer right ??? WRONG!!! I was berated the other day because :
1) I didnt hang her shirts over "2 wires" so they could air correctly,
2) I USED PEGS on her shirts!!! How dare I.... you see... they leave "PEG MARKS!!!!!"
3) I should be using the same colour pegs on a single item, red is ok, blue is ok, so is white for that matter.... BUT not mixed. this is bad. evidently.
Is this normal behaviour ??? do your wives give a rats or are they grateful you just bloody well do it ??? I'm sheet scared to do her washing... I wait with dread when she comes home and suffer all sorts of agony waiting for the the first "Not good enough" comment..

They all seem to do it, it must be a nest making ritual or something.
Just chuckem in the clothes dryer, problem solved. or is it?
Go and buy some wooden pegs, that way they are all the same colour, except when it rains on the washing it leaves staining.

It's called female enteritus. Peg marks are bad juju, you didn't know that? Different coloured pegs, no, seriously? Haven't you learned anything from Queer Eye for the Straight Guy. And as for only using one wire....well - are you 'challenged' or something?
I'm laughing my guts out Zed, having been home for the last three weeks I know what is happening. Wait till they get to the "socks and undies in one quarter by themselves" routine. It's a control thing to remind you that we are hopelessly inferior to the fairer sex. Take the opportunity to get rid of all those clothes she wears that are off putting (the machine musta ate it dear, it's gone to live with all the 'left' socks, or - a personal favourite - snowdroppers! :eek: )

Simple tell her if se doesnt like the way you do it, she can do it herself...
You wont hear about it again...I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.

Anyhow like my credit controller she oughta be happy that you're doin' it for 'em...Gotta educate 'em ..if'n they don't like it ...then they do it themselves.
I'm only too willing to help around but if'n there's too much of "you did'nt do this or that" then time for renegotiation!!!
There's got to be some give and take all round.

When you hang the washing out, make sure you group the light stuff, and the dark stuff properly. That way, when she comes home you can say you did a load each of light and dark, and the line full of mixed mode clothing wont give you away.

How well do you get on with your mother-in-law? Does she like or resent you, if the former play on it big time.
