    Ok this one is for CraigB especially since he was bleating about boring questions.

    What is the difference between apes and monkeys ?

    Name the apes in the Great Ape family ?

    What is the difference between man and the other great apes (besides railroads, bandsaws and going to the moon etc) ?

    What does the current school of thought believe is the distinctifying evolutionary trait about this difference ?

    Gibbons, Orangatangs, Chimpanzees and Gorillas.

    What is the difference between man and the other great apes (besides railroads, bandsaws and going to the moon etc) ?
    Bigger brains, walk upright (non-drinkers that is) and the prehensile thumb.

    What does the current school of thought believe is the distinctifying evolutionary trait about this difference.

    I guess walking. correct - prehensile thumb developed the use of a proper grip and thus the evolution of the tool user and thus into a true sentient species
