    Default eee polish

    Hi,
Would like some advice on using this product.
I have a tub of EEE and a tub of traditional wax.How many coats of EEE can you apply before you apply the wax,and how long should you leave the EEE to dry before you buff it off to apply the next coat.
I should say that my work is carving in the round.
    Would appreciate any advice.
    Regards Terry

you need the materials handling data sheet for each product. they should be available on the search engine or off the home page. I use the EEE after sanding to p1200 as a final burnish/polish(only one 'coat') before applying the wax/friction polish.leaves a beautiful mirror finish all info will be on the mhds
    cheers
everything is something, for a reason:confused:

EEE is a polish, not a finish.

It is like cutting compond, it has a very fine abrasive in it.
Best results come from a mechanical buff unless you have LOTS of fast elbow grease.

    The wax is the finish.

I don't do any turning, but love using EEE & trad Wax on my boxes.

Apply a thin paste of EEE, let sit for while, rub madly with a soft rag, leave for a few minutes, get a second clean cloth and polish up with this.
    Repeat if needed.

    Leave overnight

Do the same with Trad Wax using different polishing cloths
Apply a thin paste of TWax, let sit for while a little longer than the EEE, rub madly with a soft rag, leave for a few minutes, get a second clean cloth and polish up with this.
    Repeat if needed.

Lastly, Polish up with UBeaut's Swansdown mops

Leave overnight - polish again!!!!! Do you have a new mirror yet?

    cheers

Without going back & reading the instruction manual (Neils book) and the spec sheet on EEE Ultrashine, I'm with Cliff. I use EEE as a final polish over other finishes (Oil & Poly or even Lacquer), not as a primary finishing agent. I think it's designed as a cut & polish?

Nope, it can be used after the sandpaper to polish the timber before the wax finish.

You wouldn't use it to polish a softwax finish, buffing is the go there, but it can be used to polish harder finishes that are a bit dull or lumpy.

    Thanks for the replys.
I have taken a little from each.( lots of little peices make a whole)
Wendy ,the procedure that you set out is along the lines I was looking for.
Cliff, I know that it is a cutting polish and both of your post have helped to set things in my mind.
    Thanks to all
    Regards Terry
