Old Promises, tell us some tales
I've finally kept some old promises and posted better photos of some of my previous work.
I still carry an English one pound coin in my wallet for if I ever do catch up with the girl who asked me to bring her one back from London 8 years ago.
Every day I go home and look at the lump of wood that one of my Dad-in-law's friends asked me to shape. it's the hardest wood I've ever come across. I think it will sit there for a little while longer...........
What do you remember that you promised you'd do and haven't had a chance to do, for whatever reason......
cheers
Wendy

I can't recall ever making any promises. To anyone. About anything. Ever. Honest, Your Honour!

Not me but SWMBO, she bought material for seat covers for our brand new Hilux 4WD but hasn't made them yet.
I use this as a weapon when things in the kitchen are not done.
We bought the 4WD in 1980 and sold it 500,000km later in 1987
Incidentally, the material is still here somewhereStupidity kills. Absolute stupidity kills absolutely.

I'm like Bob, except my forgetfulness is real. If I have made any promises to anyone and never followed through, I'm truly sorry, it's not my fault.

Not a promise, but I do carry a 3 rouble note around I 'obtained' in Russia in 1992; I just couldn't help thinking of the phrase "As dodgy a a 3 dollar note" & the Russian's actually had/have one !!

I regularly promise to take my time at my projects, to cut and shave the timber carefully, and to strive for perfection in all my woodwork

yes, I've just been in the shed examining yesterday's efforts

I can't remember the promises I have made (selective memory loss) but I can remember when SWMBO told me shortly before we were married 17 years ago that she would follow me anywhere and always make my lunch. That lasted about two weeks LOL. Can't understand why she gets all prickly when I reminder of it.
