Battening
Hi all,
I'm putting a small (20-25sq/m) hardwood timber floor over a concrete slab. I was planing on using hardwood battens on top of the concrete, with finished floorboards over battens. My question is - Is there any regulation as to the minimum sizing of the battens? Or anything to avoid doing as to my proposed method?
Thanks in advance.

battens
Yes their is You can slice up 15mm ply into 50mm strips and fix these to your slab at 450mm centers, but if you have to level and pack up the battens to a specific height then it is best to use 45 x 19 hwd battens fixed at 450 mm centers.
