Av 515 solvent
I always manage to get this stuff on may hands. Its sticks like S++T to a wet blanket. Letting it go hard a slicing off with a chisel is hard on the hands.
Any body know a solvent thats works. I now know that acetone, thinners, turps ,metho and vinegar doesn't.
Av 515 is thw adhesive that cabinet makers use for melamine cupboards.
thanks
Grahame

Sounds like one of those products that has a notice on the data sheet that says "Do not, under any circumstances, get this product onto skin"...
Sorry

I love the forum.
It never fails
Found it, thanx Mark for the link.
The solvent is made by AVS (same mob) and is called XS Solvent which given the price you pay for AV 515, probably denotes the price range its solvent is in.The AVS adhesive costs nearly $20 a tube.
Mind you,the AV515 does what it says it does do.
It glues a saw cut melamine covered board edge to edge to a melamine board surface. When it is cured nothing short of destruction can separate the Tee joint. Until now I have done the clean up with a sharp chisel when the stuff has gone off. This technique however is a trifle hard on fingers.
Thank you again
