celery pine help
gooday all, i am after info as how to fix my two storie verandah poles,
around six years ago as an owner builder i placed 18 celery pine poles as posts,bark,sap wood and all.now as the bark is almost all off and the sap wood is cracking and seems to be slowly filling with wood lice i have decided to do something as in a coating of sorts.i shall put stainless strap of 1/2 thickness with a bandit tool at various distances but then what to paint with??.......do you all reckon i may be on the right track.all posts are varying size from around 18 inch diam to around 24......

copper chrome arsenate??i did not know you could buy it,the deck is treated pine but it is not a safe product ?????any body heard of antifreeze being used,in boats it is supposed to kill and protect from rot,,,ethylene glycol i think is the active ingredient.........
