Joining plates at 45 degree wall bend
'Ello all,
Anyone any comments on how to handle the top/bottom plates in a stud wall with a 45deg. bend?
I was simply going to lap them and pretty much leave it at that.

We just used gangnails on ours. We cut some wedge-shaped blocks to go between the studs, cut the top and bottom plates square, stood the walls up and nailed together with the blocks, then mitred the ribbon plate at 22.5 and belted in a gang nail to hold it together.
