Hi, I have many questions. Hopefully might get a few answers.

I am doing a renovation/extension all up about 30 sqares,

I have the slab poured and everything is at a stand still as I do not know wether to go prefabricated walls or have them sticked. What are peoples experiance? also what goes up first, strucual steel or frame?

I have many quotes from truss manufacturers but am unable to determin what will work out better, structually, then cost.

Also, I have tried lifting boards and in stead of punching the nails through, does anyone know of a highly curosive ( to steel) acid that you put on the head of the nail and come back the next day, and just lift the board up???

I reckon that is a good idea!

Any info/experiences would be great.

I have heard bad and good but thought this wood be the best e to ask.

if the slabs ready why not just get a crew in to cut on site, no waiting for truss guys to detail drawings, quote, make then deliver. Price should be same if you find the right crew. Just a thought. in NSW there is still a big stick frame industry manly Europeans and middle eastern crews.

Prefab frames are usually quicker to erect on site and cheaper. I have been told of troubles with prefab frames not being 100% correct which need to be altered on site.
The structural steel is usually erected first and the timber frame constructed around it.
