Reblocker Recommendations for western Melbs
We are trying to get our house restumped but keep getting differnt advice from reblockers. It is a weatherboard house with a brick dividing wall between us and the neighbours (who have been re-stumped).
We need to get three rooms re-stumped as we are knocking down the rear lean-to and building another one. It is realitively low to ground and we know that in one room through the floor boards is the only way to go. We keep getting different advice regarding the other rooms. Can anyone recommend a good reblocker for the seddon area.
Thanks

My calafornian bungalow is currently being restumped in Yarraville by Advanced Reblocking Specialists 0418319550, I got their number from another thread on this site and have met other people who have had their properties done by them. Martin is the guy who runs the show (reblocking 25yrs), very clear in telling me what he is doing and included drawings + breakdown of all the work involved with the quote. The guy hasn't advertised for years, goes on word of mouth. My restump is going well so far, been told it will be finished this thursday (8th june) and will require no settling period. Will let you know if he's all he cracked up to be, but so far so good

yarraville restump
The job is finished after some delays as I ripped out my chimney at the weekend (phew!) (was told it had to go, damp and unstable) and the restumpers kindly fixed a bearer and put in another stump at no extra cost despite that not being part of the original plan. Very happy with service. Now for the kitchen and bathroom renos!

Recommendation
Hi sju and vmon
I recently moved to Footscray and am requiring restumping. Thanks for your previous postings as this has provided another person from whom to get a quote.
I just spoke with Martin on the phone and he was really 'chuffed' about me finding his details on this site (a pure accident on my part!) but was wandering who the recommendations and referrals came from.
He is coming around on Monday to quote, so if you would like to send me any details please feel free and I will pass them on - also any updates on his work.
Thanks again.

Hi Field,
I just had a restumping job done in Williamstown by GTS Reblocking. They have done a great job.
Cheers,

GTS reblocking can be found by using www.whitepages.com.au, or www.yellowpages.com.au, or by typing GTS reblocking in a search engine like Google.
For Google, in your internet browser address bar type 'www.google.com.au'
Using a search engine like google you can locate other search engines by typing 'search engine' in their 'search' fields.
It is worth checking out GTS reblocking as they also produce there own stumps, and they also sell these to other reblockers.
These stumps are worth looking into as they are adjustable, and make it easier (I am told) to install and may allow adjustment for next time your house needs relevelling - making it cheaper and easier to keep your house level through time.
But check this out for yourself.
