Default How do I put gridlines in an image?

I am preparing to draw some plans and I'd like to put a grid in the images that prints out.

So that the user can scale the drawing easily.

Is there an easier way than actually drawing the grid?

How about drawing a dimension bar so that they can obtain a dimension off the bar that they can apply to the drawing ..... just like a map scale.

Bob, download Graph Paper Printer free trial from here ...

    http://www.marquis-soft.com/

I've had it on my comp for ages, but haven't mucked with it to know if you can import images and then print out with gridlines ... if not, perhaps another pass through the printer to add the grid?

    Cheers

Go to Excel and set the cell height and cell width to 20 pixels.

Get a ruler and a pencil. Draw some lines down the screen 1 cm apart. Then do the same across the screen.

You dont need to print them Bob. Do what Grunt said to your glasses.

    Good idea Wongo,

    Echnidna,

You need to put the lines closer together when you do the glasses thing.

    Echidna,

If you are going to be drawing plans on a regualr basis, it would pay you to get a proper CAD program - preferably not Google Sketchup, which is great for sketching concepts, but not so good for producing accurate detailed plans.

DesignCAD, Autosketch, and TurboCAD will all do the job.
