    Default Garage

    Hi,

I just bought a house and wanted to know how much to budget for in order to build a brick double garage with remote door access at the front, door access from the rear, and a window on the side.

Not fussed about the roof and how it's done.

Need a worst case AUD figure please.

    Cheers
    Joey

    I had heard $600 - 800

    A double garage of 30m2

    Slab $8,000
    Roof tiles $4000
    Roof trusses $2000
    Bricks (double brick 6000) $12,000
    Garage doors with remotes $2500
    Gutters $1000
    Lintels $1500
    2 Windows $1000

    Total $32,000

    That should cover it.

Unless of course you want some pipes to lead stormwater away, a driveway, maybe some electrical wiring to connect to the door, an access door, perhaps some lighting, a bit of paint round the soffitts, perhaps some sheeting in the gables, a finial or two?? .... .... ....

Now do you see why it's impossible to safely rely on a square metre rate?

    Cheers,

    P
