    Default The expedition

I purchased some plasterboard from the new ebay shop,
    http://stores.ebay.com.au/plasterboa...Q3amesstQQtZkm

and went to Geelong to pick it up.

Swmbo suggested we drop into bunnies on the way.

Sounded a good idea as I wanted an elcheapo laser level.

So I got the level, couldn't see swmbo anywhere so I sat down for a while.

Then I spotted her picking up a supermarket trolley,

"Hey wait for me" I called out, then dropped the level in the trolley.

Fair suck of the saveloy, she had as much fun shopping in a hardware store as she would have had in Myers.

So a few hours later she emerged then we went and pickled up the plaster.

Ended up unloading the plaster in the dark.

Why do females turn a simple shopping trip into an expidition?

Bob, when will you ever learn? A lady always is ready to shop and part you with your hard earned money!

Thankfully MBGitW will not go into Bunnies as she cannot stand the lack of knowledge prevalent amongst the majority of staff there:mad: !

I'm the cook around here so I'm the one who shops. When I go down to Woollies I'm finished in 30 minutes. My basket averages 125 bucks. When SWMBO comes with me it takes around 2 hours and the basket costs around 180 bucks.
I like shopping for groceries - she hates 'em and ruins my enjoyment. She also hates hardware stores. I love 'em.

I said to swmbo (just after lunch) while she's pushing her trolly in Bunnies.

"I'd like to get home before dark"

Bloke standing nearby nearly laid an egg.

It would have been better if you had used your Geelong accent when saying that.

My pet hate is huge shopping centres, no matter where you park it is the wrong end and you walk for an hour to find the place you are after or the two places you want are at opposite ends (Fountain Gate, Kath & Kim territory springs to mind).
I used to work with an office full of women who loved these places and would spend an entire weekend just walking around them.
Rumour has it that it is to become an Olympic Event...Power Shopping.
Now having said all that I enjoy flea markets, apart from some of the new 'crap' that is being presented, and some junk shops, but not the crime converter stores who charge like wounded bulls.
Saw a saddle in one, a near new Wintec unmounted, they wanted $500 for it, I can buy a new one for less than $300, some places just lose the plot.
Stupidity kills. Absolute stupidity kills absolutely.

Question is, did anything of use get put into the trolley?

    Default Why is it???

SWMBO decides that it is time to purchase.

We find the product and purchase. SWMBO confirms that the product is being sold at a fair and reasonable price.

Fine! We have accomplished our mission, correct? Noooooooooo! We now have to visit MANY other establishments selling the same product at similar prices just verify that our purchase was at a reasonable price.

Now it's "Tell me what you want and I'll go get it or you can go get it."

Well I put a cheap laser level in,

    works well (indoors)
dunno about it outside on a sunny day though.

Using it I was able to see that the house I'm renovating is plus\minus 5mm true so restumping it will be a bit easier. HOORAY very little jacking needed
I'll just put new stumps in near the old ones and leave the old ones there.

How about a whole (and I do mean a WHOLE) day for ONE pair of shoes. In Regent and Oxfords Streets, London, one week before Christmas, including every Damned Shoe store in those parts - only to go back to the very first store.
