    Post Wood-Loc

    Hi
I came across this in my travels & am wondering if there is anything like this available here in Aus.

Wood-Loc stabilizes wood fibers and controls wood dimension.

    1. Stop wood shrinkage in dry conditions.
Reduce end splits and surface cracks.

    2. Stop wood swelling in humid conditions.
    Reduce warping and splitting.

    3. Stop wood splitting and surface checks when drying wet wood.

    4. Reduce energy costs when kiln drying.
Wood-Loc helps displace moisture in wood.

    5. Stop wood movement during shipping and long term storage.

    6. Stop finish failure due to wood cell movement.

    7. Steam bending using Wood-Loc eliminates end splits,
    grain tear and spring back.

    8. Condition veneer.

    9. Effective on solid wood, plywood and veneer.

    Wood-Loc controls moisture penetration.

    1. Control the penetration of stains.
Producing a uniform color on blotchy wood and end grain.

    2. Hold down grain raise.

    Wood-Loc safety features

    1. Non-flammable 4. Low evaporation rate

    2. Non-combustible 5. No hazardous shipping

    3. No solvent fumes 6. Lower insurance costs

    Wood-Loc - other features

    1. Wax can be added for water repellent feature.

    2. Reduce tears and chip-out during machining.

    3. Wood will accept stain, finish and glue.

    Wood-Loc application

    1. Apply by dip, brush, spray and machine.

    2. Apply at any time during wood processing.

    Wood-Loc - how it works

Wood-Loc is unique in how it works. Instead of sealing the wood like
Nelsonite and other stabilizers, the active ingredient in Wood-Loc
reacts with the amorphous cellulose molecules in wood to create
a cell wall that has structure. The result is a permanent barrier to
moisture. The wood will accept liquids but won't be damaged.

The unwarping of wood is pretty remarkable.
