Hey silent, isn't your employer keen to know that you still exist?

They've been paying me, so I suppose that's something.

I am overdue for a trip up to head office but what with building the house and other stuff, I just can't afford to lose a week. Tempting as it is to drive 6 1/2 hours up there, sleep on someone's sofa bed for a week, catch buses to and from the city every day and then drive 6 1/2 hours home...

But then there is the beer.

    You're just soft.
Me? I've got a real excuse this year.
No not that nobody likes me one, I used that one last year. Only Boban talked to me and that was because he was scheming to sell me his jointer. I wish he'd schemed a bit harder cause now I wouldn't be looking for a thicknesser.
Any one want to drive to Kempsey pick up one invalid and wheel chair drive home pamper said invalid overnight arrange a party of woodies, provide lots of red wine to sample. Drink till the wee small hours attend woodshow meet with Scott and drink jasmine tea push invalid around show in wheelchair, organise delivery of thicknesser etc.etc.

I think they're quite happy not to see me. Let's face it, if you were my boss, wouldn't you be?

Scott, I am both pancake poor and Time poor, with organising the Surf Club presentation night for the Saturday too. I may relent and do a quick attack on the Friday, depending on MBGitW's health at the time.

I like to go with plenty of pancakes because there is always toys that I must have and it is torture not to be able to get them!

So I am now an official maybe!

Everyone else uses SWMBO, Financial Controller, Minister for War etc. I'm just a little bit different( OK very different, before the smarties get in on the act) and used a respectful  acronym.

Makes up for all the times I am away drinking at the Surf Club (Snot!!! )

If he gets it without working for it; he's a parasite; and if he accumulates it after a life time of hard work, people call him a fool who never got anything out of life."
