Relics from the goldfields.
Hi all
I spent a wonderfull day on the goldfields at Heathcote Vic today.
Weather was superb, mid 20's no wind, brilliant sunshine.
Anyway, here is what I gleaned from the ground.
I am always in awe when I dig some treasure up, no matter how trivial it may seem, as I am the first person to touch it in over 150 years.
Lots of metal buttons, dohickies, and bullets.
I got 3 musket balls this time too.

Sounds like fun Al
Don't have any trouble with "Job'sworth" types coming up and bleating about "hey, you can't do that here, not without a permit"....
BTW does having a small stock of musket balls count as "being in possession of ammunition"?

Not that I have found too much gold, I have only found a few grams worth, and yes I had a permit then.......
