Cyclone Monica
It looks very much as though this category 5 cyclone is headed directly towards Darwin, and will probably wipe out several Aboriginal communities on the N coast of Arnhem Land first

Heard on the radio this morning it passed by Nhulunbuy with little to no damage apparently, lived there many a year ago. Hope the rest of the areas survive with little damage also

Well, maybe there is a God after all Monica has veered inland and lost almost all its destructive power. I bet it will still have done some serious damage to the orchard I used to own at Howard Springs, though.
