Fuming and Amonia
Hi Folks,
Does anybody know of a supplier of Amonia, I will be building a dining table from English Oak later in the year and would like to give it a bit of an aged look.
Is there any other alternative to fuming with Amonia ? (stuffs bloody deadly)

Thanks Bob and Al,
It's a while away yet so I'll start hunting around from the cleaner suppliers or I might try what Clinton1 suggested, The LYE sounds interesting I might try it on some smaller pieces and see if the results are what I'm after.
Thanks again.

Thanks to all that answered, I've got the next four days off so may get some time to try these things.
Robert34,
Thanks for the links, some interesting reading there.

For ammonia, try a plan printer serviceing company. I used to use an old ammonia plan printer in my cadetship with a builder when i was too young to complain about the headaches, low wages, shackle on the ankle etc. the machine used ammonia in 2L plastic bottles, and im sure you could still get it from someone like Triangle Corp (in melbourne)
