As a newbie having served only a few months, voted for welcoming.
It's generally a very welcoming place. Everyone seems to get a chance to speak thier mind. And those that open thier mouths just to change feet are dealt with appropriately in my opinion. It seems noobs are given a chance to contribute.
I took my obligatory slapping from Christopha for starting my first thread in the wrong forum but hey #### happens and we wouldn't want any special treatment now.
Don't quite get the rep points thing but IMO not really needed. After reading for a while it becomes easier to see who's advice appears to have greatest value.
That said, although I came here to learn stuff (as most newbies I'd imagine) it's the community that keeps us coming back and wanting to be a part of (oh and Doug's avatars of course).
Cheers blokes,
Glenn<>

I started out trying to do the "good-neighbour welcome" thing, but I was sadly disillusioned by a few "new" members (who by the way dont happen to be here anymore)
Now I just sit back and watch the wankers and hollier-than-thou's make them selves known and suffer the wrath of the collective group.
To all those who have pased the initiation, and are still here.. WELCOMEI try and do new things twice.. the first time to see if I can do it.. the second time to see if I like it
