Still no replies about the memory chair workshop! For newcomers..what's a memory chair?
(not game to say something about forgetting what it is!)

Not a bad question CP, but could have been answered if you went into the McGregor site!
I borrowed the term from US rustic furniture maker Dan Mack, and describes a piece made from different elements that remind you of a certain place, or time, or person. That can be a bit of old furniture, maybe something from a house, or a scrap of timber/tree from a special place. It evokes memories. I think of it as collage furniture.
Come along and have a go!
Cheers,Andy Mac

I know what you mean. I bought a 'matching ' chair from an antique shop because we were one short. When I rubbed it back it had 4 types of timber including radiata pine.
Would love to get to QLD sometime, Malaney, Toowoomba even up to Cairns to relieve the locals of some of that Silky Oak that's laying all over the ground.
Interesting idea about the memory bit. That could very easily be applied to a box.
regards,
Graham
