As a non commercial website of value to the community you should be able to get free web hosting from the Vic State Library.
You might even get assistance from tourist groups and councils.
Start by looking around the vicnet website at
http://www.vicnet.net.au/
But vicnet charges heaps if you want to use your own domain name.
So when I did The Scout Camp website I used www.netfirms.com to get a free front page (actually I set up a few different front pages)
So one of the scout camp addresses is www.brucknellpark.netfirms.com.
Which is reasonably easy for users, though not a true domain
But when you click to enter you go to the vicnet site.

We went through Castlemaine on the weekend on the way back from Avoca.
I was too tired after partying on Saturday night to take any piccys.
Im after photos of any signifcant building, no matter how small the building.
Bridges.
Laneways etc.
There are some amazing buildings in Chewton that are one room shops/dwellings that are just wasting away in the elements.

I read this after your PM Al. Will see what I can find - it there is anything specific though let me know - I am not a history buff - don't know much about it, but love stonework and old building techniques. We stupidly decided to build our own house out of stone too.

A little closer to home, you may want to take some pictures around warrandyte. Even do a walk around the old mine shafts, there are still a number around (though some of these have now been closed off by the council). I spent hours walking around the state park here and there are still an amazing amount of stuff still just lying around out there.I may not have gone where I intended to go, but I think I have ended up where I needed to be.
