aireal ping pong- its what they play down there........methinks there is too many ppl on too big of a field chasing one little ball while jumping on top of each other trying to get it?

seriously ( if its possible ): i dont watch much of it but i dont care who plays and what style...its all tactics and most of the time its interesting to see how the opposite team responds to that type of tactic. this applies to almost every sport that involves a team ( not crappy sports ).......just my thoughts

Despite my obvious bias, I cant understand how the passing is allowed to continue by the opposing team.

Its a football (real football) style of play adapted to AFL. The good football teams realise that with the ball you play a lot better than without it. You cannot always attack so you set it up through possession.

If you need the ball, mark up and pressure the opposition into a mistake and thereafter its anyone's ball.

I watched the game last night and the possession game did not seem to come into it until the end. Smart I would have thought given the score.

I agree, daz, watched the game the other night, a win's a win but by hell it was frustrating to watch.

I'm a Hawks tragic but I like the Swannies. Whhat I don't like, irrespective of which team (even the Hawks), is the basketball style of keeping the ball in possession when the game is close, ie, less than 6 pts.
They ought to introduce a rule which forces both sides to only play offensive in the last 5 minutes. What I mean is that a team's defensive players MUST send the ball back into attack and not be allowed to kick back or across the ground wing to wing.
There's nothing more unsportsmanlike than hogging the ball like in stupid bloody basketball or soccer.
One good thing about the bum sniffers (thugby) is they always attack.
    Off the box now....
    Cheers

    Bobans right

All the other team needs to do is man up. Must make the coach scream himself horse.

The wizard/nab cup rules of not kicking back in the last quarter should fix it

    cheers
