My 1,000th post! - thanks
G'day,
I thought a bit today while I was in the shed lapping a newly aquired Titan chisel what my 1,000th post should be.
I haven't contributed anything by way of shots of what I do, that time will come, instead I've offered what little help I can and more importantly, I've enjoyed the support and help that I have been given by the good folk of this forum.
In particular I'd like to thank some individuals who have been very generous to me.
• to AlexS and Wood Borer for jumping in a helping getting the vise down to me from Sydney.
• to Gumby for inviting me in to your domain for the chats and for helping tuning my bandsaw and other bits and pieces.
• to SkewCHIDAMN! for the help you've given me and for the loan of some machinery.
• to Wood Borer for the chats in your shed, for giving me a run down on sharpening and for the loan also of some machinery.
• to Apricotripper for helping out with a rod for my 78.
None of you have had to help but you have and without expecting things in return.
To the many other people who have offered support over many things and helped me out in other ways, a huge thank you to you also. A thank you also to Neil and Rob who make this forum possible who without it, we wouldn't be able contribute ideas and help others.
Thank you everyone.

G'day,
Gumby, maybe I could help out with David Gilmour's latest, "About Face"?
Thanks Doug, does 1,000 posts mean I spend too much time here stuffing around and not enough time in my shed?

Dave Gilmour? [Ears perked]
Shameless, aint I?
At least you spotted your 1,000th, I missed mine. Too busy waffling on about other things. So I decided to raise the bar to my 1234th just to be different. Missed that too. I got pretty damned close to my 1250th though. Not bothering now, life's too short to worry about mere numbers.

G'day,
Happy birthday to my 1,000th post yestyday, happy birthday to my post! There you go DanP how's that? It's a touchie feelie bonding session for you lot who've helped me out, a bit like hugging a tree except scarier.
I'm still knee high to a grass hopper, one day I might have as many posts as you lot, they could be pure drivel like this one though.

I take exception to the suggestion that I may have ever helped anyone on here. I demand a public apology forthwith.
Pure drivel is a must if you expect to make the dizzying heights of those such as Sir Oz and Sir C, grasshopper.
