Pity you need a licence to pick one up...
Is there anything easier done than said?

Wow! That is COOL! If I had more spare time, I might just try making wooden replicas of my guns.

This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move.

I already have some of those. I think making a gun out of wood would be a lot of fun.

    Yes why Dan?
Does this mean that any material that is the shape of a firearm needs a license?
So if I make a cardboard cutout gun that looks fairly realistic then I need a license for it?

You're pretty much on the money Bob, if it looks like a gun it can be deemed illegal, especially if used in the perpertration of a felony, or as a means of intimidation or threat.
I had a villain in my charge at one time who was a male stripper, he got done for a plastic replica he used in his act when dressed (for a little while anyway) as a copper, that was in Queensland but I'm sure if they wanted him it could happen here too.

Well this is going to make it really tough on kids playing cowboys and indians. I hope to see lots of the little villians up on charges soon.
