Ceiling Battens
I'm just about to put up Rondo Type 303 ceiling battens but haven't been able to find out the distance from the wall that I should fix the first batten. could somebody please advise. Thanks.

Not a technical reply, and I don't know what Rondo 303 cieling batterns are, but I used the metal type batterns, and my plasterer told me to start in about 200mm from the wall.

I leave 50mm between wall and batten.200mm is way too far and the sheet will be floating in the breeze,unless you are putting up a large cornice with a 200 mm projection.

Alternatively use plasters angle, Rondo P50 I think, to support the edges.

P50 is a shadowline,and won't support the plaster.

Sorry Tools, P18 is the correct Rondo Number

its only 0.3mm BMT so pretty limited but good for supporting corners and very cheap also.
