Whats the best finish for Western Red Cedar louvre blades exposed to the weather. Preferably something that can be wiped on and dries quickly. Having to recoat anually isn't a problem.

Fantapantz,
Reapplying a coating may be easy but preparing the surface may not be if you have to sand it first.
You probably have to provide more info on what type of finish you are looking for (gloss, satin, oiled etc) and level of sun exposure to get any sugestions.

Oiled finish preferably. Not the best for high sun exposure but......
been looking at Tung and Organ so far.

Fantapantz,
Organoil is thugoil based product, my undestanding is that it is more suitable for furniture or flooring not exposed to direct sunlight. The experts in this forum can advise / comment on that.
WRC has a nasty habit of going grey if not protected against UV / sunlight. Something to watch out for.
Cedar door & window suppliers have showrooms, worth having a look and a chat to these mobs. Stegbar and Wideline (in NSW) have nicely finised doors on display. Both recomend same products - Integrain or Sikkens.
Regards,
Theva
