    Default Best for walnut

I have finally cleaned the old walnut table. The stains were so deep I had to remove all old varnish to remove staining. So now I am down to wood with nothing on it at all. Can anyone recommend how I should go about finishing table please? I would like a nice shiny finish if at all possible, but remembering I am a novice should I just wax it? Thanks in advance.
