Only because of the copious amounts of sweat that oversexed drummers exhude. Shorts out the fenders the hard working real musos play.

Sweaty job all right. I used to play regularly at The Tom Tom Club in Sydney (used to be called Kardomah Cafe). They had a bank of four white floods at the back of the stage directly above the drum riser. I used to play in a singlet and I swear I could feel the skin on my shoulders crackling when they turned them on. I used to lose a kilo every gig.

It's not only drummers that make a mess though. Last year at a gig the bass player decided to open his bottle of mineral water between numbers. Of course some idiot had shaken it up and he was facing me. Sprayed sticky crap all over the kit and his spare guitar. Hi hats are still a bit sticky to this day...

LOL. yeah, been there done that. With bloody beer though.

I found a music pyramid the other day: Here it is in order of complexity from lowest to highest:
    1. Dead
    2. talentless
    3. bass player (aka pot head)
    4. drummer (aka chick magnet)
    5. kalimba player
    6. tambourine player (aka hippy chick)
    7. Kazoo artiste
    8. dentist (aka Nazi)
    9. trumpet player
    10. bagpiper
    11. hurdy gurdy player
    12. blues harp
    13. brain surgeon
    14. Pilot
    15. Lead singer
    16. Lead guitarist
    17. Rhythm guitarist

The order of the last 3 depend on my mood.

Looks about right except I would dispute putting the lead singer anywhere near the top.

Wheres mine, I used to have a following when I played lute, 21 strings and everyone thought it was great, of course you never tell anyone it's easier to play than guitar, bugger to tune though.
I was single too, that changed

Did you hear about the bass player who was so out of tune even the lead singer noticed?
