Default Anyone else use/recomend natural finishes or stains

Any natural stains or finishes work for you? I use osmo and tried and true stuff with good results but would love to increase my choices. Also looking for natural or homemade stains.
    Any ideas would be great.

100% Tung Oil. Walnut Oil. Saffron & Linseed Oil

It all depends on what finish you're after...
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.

    How natural?
Burnishing gives certain timbers a nice sheen with no additions. Beeswax of course. Shellac is pretty well natural, and I've tinted it with local ochre to give an old, aged look. Make old fashioned varnish from resin (Kauri, Damar etc) Try finding out about vegetable dyes from local spinners and weavers...local knowledge. These dyes may work as wood stains. Things like stashing oak in stables for horses to do their business on, and stain darker!
I had a great book once called "Adventures in wood finishing" by an old French guy, loads of stuff like the horse urine, & other old fashioned recipes and even more elbow grease! Lent it once too many times!

    Cheers,

I use Kunos oil cut 50% with bio thinners. Don't know where in USA it's available, but Google should help you find it.
