Air Fare Refunds

Whilst waiting for the caffeine to kick in I was just pondering the misfortune of some of our countrymen, and women who have now taken up long term or permanent residence in Asian prisons, what happens to the return airfare?????

Surely you're not suggesting that our perfect never make a mistake, never lose your luggage, never have long queues, never interfere with your luggage, never have delays airlines are profitting from illegal drug trafficking?

I wouldn't put it past them as it seems their only priority is profit - morals and fair play don't come into it whatsover.

Oddly enough I had a pleasant experience with Virgin
My trip to Perth you may remember was unfortunately cancelled last year owing to a health hicup. However Virgin blue gave me a cancellation password number for tickets to be available before May this year and here is the reason for answering this thread.

The ticket can be transferred to anyone who uses the password number. Echinida checked that out for me with Virgin last year. So your drug addicts entombed in asia could always send you their password numbers Iain.

I havent done anything myself with the password number because my travel insurance paid out my travelling claim and I think it could be a problem if I took advantage of this event by using the ticket option.

Dont talk to me about airline refunds......it took QANTAS 9 months to refund a business class ticket I'd booked to Angola. When you book the ticket they want payment straight away...when the boot's on the other foot and you cancel your booking they make you wait till the cows come home for a refund.
